Being Secure on the "Great Adventure"

We are on a great adventure to love and serve Jehovah - "the existing One". Hebrews 13:14 - For here we have no lasting city, but we seek the city that is to come. He abides, remains, exists.  And to live securely, we must abide in him. Abide = To continue to be present with Jesus.  To live. To be. Continue. Dwell. Endure. Remain. Stand. Tarry.

Jeremiah 33:16 In those days Judah will be saved and Jerusalem will dwell securely. And this is the name by which it will be called, "The LORD is our righteousness".

Isaiah 32:17 And the effect of righteousness will be peace, and the result of righteousness, quietness and trust forever.

Dwell ~ Shakan (Hebrew) - abide, reside, establish
Securely ~ Betach (Hebrew) - security, safety, confidently, without danger/fear

I love how the two verses above connect.  And if I can replace some words for a minute... [The LORD is our righteousness.  The effect of the LORD will be peace, and the result of the LORD, quietness and trust forever.]

Love this song :)
The Great Adventure - by Steven Curtis Chapman

Praying to enjoy the journey by abiding in my LORD Jesus Christ, who is my righteousness, so I can live fearlessly and securely - fixing my eyes on the city that is to come.

P.S. Blueletterbible.org is a lot of fun and help when studying the Bible!

What do you see or think?  Any other verses come to mind for you that relate?
